Cleveland Metroparks and Fat Head’s Brewery Team Up for Leaf Man Lager

Partnership and new brew will support Cleveland Metroparks trails

Cleveland Metroparks announced today a partnership with Fat Head’s Brewery on Leaf Man Lager, a new year-round beer scheduled to release on draft and in 15pk cans Wednesday, April 17 at Fat Head’s Beer Hall and Brewery, expanding the following week to stores, restaurants and bars throughout Northeast Ohio. Leaf Man Lager will also be available within Cleveland Metroparks locations including Merwin’s Wharf, golf courses, seasonal concessions and more. A portion of all proceeds from Leaf Man Lager will support Cleveland Metroparks Trails Fund.

The new lager continues the tradition of Fat Head’s award-winning Trail Head Pale Ale that raised over $100,000 for Cleveland Metroparks trails. Together, Cleveland Metroparks and Fat Head’s Brewery have partnered now for over a decade, working together to enhance the trail experience across the Park District’s 325+ miles of trails.

“We know that our vast trail network is one of the main reasons that people visit Cleveland Metroparks,” said Cleveland Metroparks CEO Brian M. Zimmerman. “I want to thank Matt, Glenn and their team for their dedication and creativity in support of our efforts to enhance the trail experience and connect communities throughout the region.”

Leaf Man Lager image
Leaf Man Lager offers a refreshing pilsner malt character, with light cracker and biscuit like flavors including European noble hops that add bright citrusy and floral notes. Leaf Man Lager is 4.8% alcohol. It will be distributed through Cavalier Distributing.

“We are tremendously excited to be working so closely with the Metroparks again,” said Matt Cole, Co-Founder/Master Brewer at Fat Head’s and mountain biking enthusiast. “Northeast Ohio is extremely fortunate to possess such an outstanding resource and system for the community to appreciate and enjoy. It truly is a treasure and we’re thrilled that Leaf Man Lager will help not only raise awareness but also raise dollars to continue to enhance Cleveland Metroparks trail network.”
