Cuyahoga Community College is and has been one of the premier places in Cleveland to get a great education at an affordable price. Especially, with the rising cost of colleges across the nation. Secretly, it is also one of the best places to work in Northeastern Ohio.
On June 25th, at the Jerry Sue Thornton Center, the organization held a breakfast in honor of their outstanding alumni, community champions and their various advisory committees. Alongside a stellar group of individuals at Tri-C, these people have expressed their dedication to the college, the residents and students who attend and to the world of education as a whole.
Keynote speaker for the early morning gathering was Dr. Carl Allamby, an emergency medicine physician with the Cleveland Clinic. He is also the Medical Director for the South Euclid and Beachwood fire and EMS departments. In 2019 Dr. Allamby was recognized as one of the top physicians by Medscape, a leading platform for medical news and education. He has mentored and engaged students and individuals to achieve their goals and dreams by getting a good education.
Tri-C’s President, Michael Baston, expressed his pleasure for the gathering of these great minds. “It is such a pleasure to gather together to celebrate so many who contribute to student success at Cuyahoga Community College. This morning we honor our Advisory Committees. These accomplished professionals give their time to ensure that Tri-C students have an educational experience relevant to their career goals. WE also celebrate Community Champions, who have made a big impact on our students and community. And, we proudly introduce you to some outstanding alumni who truly make a difference in the world” he spouted.
