The Cleveland Food Bank visits JB’s Lunch & Literacy for a fun day of filming

The children at JB’s Lunch & Literacy Program are always being gifted with one fine surprise or another.

Whether it be a festive Easter Party-complete with a cameo appearance from the Easter Bunny himself or an outdoor paint and sip, there’s ALWAYS something cooking in the mind of Barbara Bradford-Williams and her supreme team staff.

On today, the Cleveland Food Bank stopped by to showcase the youngsters and to also take time to film the program for several upcoming promotional television commercials.

Every Monday -Friday from 4-7pm area children scrabble to get to the center to see just what might be in store for them as each day is different than the next.

The Cleveland Food Bank and JB’s Lunch & Literacy Program have been collectively feeding families in the Slavic Village neighborhood as well as in the Union-Miles area ever since the dreaded Covid-19 outbreak. Since that time, Williams, her family and staff haven’t taken a break from their mission.

They have given Back-to-School Clothing Drives, Halloween Parties, Christmas Parties, seniors luncheons, Senior Bingo Nights, PPE Giveaways and a host of other community based events.

The Cleveland Food Bank plans to help market the afterschool gathering place by creating some exciting commercials, posters and other digital items to assist in bringing more awareness to this amazing program.
