“AIN’T TOO PROUD” LEAVES THEM BREATHLESS AT THE KEYBANK STATE THEATRE

By Ray Robinson

If you haven’t had the wonderful opportunity to take in one of Broadway’s sizzling setups of the day, “Ain’t Too Proud…The Life and Times of The Temptations”, then you’d better get dressed and skedaddle on down to the KeyBank State Theater.

Yeah, yeah…I know that you’ve undoubtedly seen the well-put together movie about the lives of the legendary Temptations on the made-for-television movie that first aired on NBC November 1st and 2nd 1998. Yet and still, this stupendous stage production digs even deeper into the behind the scenes action and gives us the REAL DEAL HOLYFIELD on these harmonious homies.

This time we find out that Otis Williams, founder of the group and one of the “original classic five” that made it big in 1965 with their smash hit, “My Girl”, was sent to a juvenile detention center at the age of 16.

Doesn’t get off this time

The Supreme Court of Ohio today indefinitely suspended a Hamilton, Ohio, attorney for repeatedly driving naked and exposing himself to other motorists.

In a per curiam opinion, the Supreme Court noted that Scott Blauvelt is in treatment for a bipolar disorder and has expressed remorse for his behavior. But the Court also noted that he still struggles with the urge to engage in his illicit behavior. To be reinstated to the practice of law in Ohio, Blauvelt will have to meet several conditions, including proving that he is in full compliance with his mental-health treatment plan and orders from the Butler County Area III Court.

Walmart to Open 4 Next Gen Fulfillment Centers

The centers will turn a 12-step fulfillment process into five via new technology developed for the retail giant.

Inside of a Walmart 'Next Gen' Fulfillment Center

BENTONVILLE, Ark.—Walmart announced it will open four “next generation” fulfillment centers over the next three years, with the first opening this summer in Joliet, Illinois, according to the company. The centers will be the “first of their kind” for Walmart and will use a combination of people, robotics and machine learning.

Walmart partnered with Knapp, a tech company for intelligent fulfillment solutions, to develop an automated, high-density storage system that streamlines a manual, 12-step process into five steps. Walmart has tested this system in its Pedricktown, New Jersey, fulfillment center and benefits it has seen from the technology include more comfort for associates, double the storage capacity and double the number of customer orders Walmart can fulfill in a day.

MetroHealth Pride Network Celebrates 15 Years

Fifteen years ago, The MetroHealth System launched a clinic designed to offer the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex community a safe, affirming place to receive care. What started as a single clinic on Cleveland’s near West Side has since grown to a full network of providers throughout Northeast Ohio committed to the same goal: to treat LGBTQI+ individuals with the humanity they deserve.

“They have a place to go where they’re going to be accepted,” says Douglas Van Auken, MD, one of the founders of the Pride Network, the first of its kind in Northeast Ohio and among the first in the country.

“They’re not going to be confronted with people that use their wrong name or treat them more like a disease than a person,” Van Auken says. “Universally, they will hear something like, ‘I’m so glad you’re here, and your life is important.’”
