Are you hoping to make repairs or updates to your home in St. Clair Superior?

Following an investment from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation, the St. Clair Superior Development Corporation will be able to provide funding for home repair projects between $1,500 and $7,000. Low-income residents in SCSDC’s service area who have eligible projects are encouraged to apply (service area extends from East 30th St. on the western boundary to Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. as the eastern boundary; south to Superior and Payne Avenues and north to the Lake). Projects such as repairing a roof, replacing a porch, and much more are eligible

Local Home Repair Programs

Home Weatherization

City of Cleveland residents are eligible to apply for CHN Housing Partners home weatherization program. Low-income homeowners and renters who need HVAC repairs, insulation, health and safety inspections, LED bulb installation, and Energy Star refrigeration replacement. All who qualify by income are encouraged to apply.

Lead Hazard Control Grant Program

Homes built before 1980 likely have lead-based paint. If you have deteriorated lead-based paint, homes that have expectant mothers and children under 6 are eligible for lead abatement grants. Homes that provide childcare may also be eligible for lead abatement.

Exterior Paint Program

Home exteriors that need repainting may receive a voucher of up to $600 to cover the cost of paint and supplies. Do note that this service does not include labor costs.

Senior Homeowner Assistance Program

Senior citizens (60+) of Cleveland can apply for health, safety, and maintenance repair assistance.

The more than 210,000 square feet Populous-designed interdisciplinary center will serve as an elite performance training facility for the Cavaliers, the community and athletes from around the world.

    The Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Clinic and Bedrock Real Estate today revealed the first official renderings of the Cleveland Clinic Global Peak Performance Center. Situated on the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland, the center will focus on enhancing athletes’ overall performance and serve as the Cleveland Cavaliers’ new home. The more than 210,000 square feet facility is slated to be one of the world’s largest training facilities.

Ohioans New to Medicare Invited to Attend “Welcome to Medicare” Virtual Town Hall

COLUMBUS — Ohio Department of Insurance Director Judith L. French and representatives from the department’s Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) are hosting a free “Welcome to Medicare” virtual town hall educational event on April 2 from 11 a.m. to noon for Ohioans new to Medicare.

OSHIIP’s Medicare experts will provide an overview of Medicare, Part A and B benefits, Part D prescription drug coverage, Medicare supplement plans, Medicare Advantage plans, eligibility, enrollment, financial assistance, and important deadlines.

Last year, OSHIIP, the state’s official Medicare educational and counseling program, through its different engagement services, counseled and educated 615,500 people and saved Ohioans $37.2 million by helping them identify suitable coverage options and financial assistance.
