Muge Ma, a/k/a “Hummer Mars,” Lied that His Phony Companies Had Hundreds of Employees and Paid Millions in Wages to Receive COVID-19 Loan Funds

Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced today that MUGE MA, a/k/a “Hummer Mars,” was sentenced to 52 months in prison in connection with a fraudulent scheme to obtain over $20 million in Government-guaranteed loans designed to provide relief to small businesses during the novel coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.  In connection with loan applications for relief available from the Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”) and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (“EIDL”) Program, MA falsely represented to the U.S. Small Business Administration (“SBA”) and six financial institutions that his companies, New York International Capital LLC (“NYIC”) and Hurley Human Resources LLC (“Hurley”), had hundreds of employees and paid millions of dollars in wages to those employees, when, in fact, MA appears to have been the only employee of his companies.  MA previously pled guilty to bank fraud and aggravated identity theft before U.S. District Judge Richard M. Statement from President Biden on Shontel Brown’s Primary Victory in Ohio

After a not-so-stunning victory on Tuesday night, Congresswoman, Shontell Brown, remained in office after easily downing former Congresswoman Nina Turner in a not-close-at-all race for the 11th Congressional District seat. Brown’s votes almost doubled that of her opponent Turner. The Ricks Brothers Foundation and Medworks join forces to feed the homeless during Pop-Up Clinic at the Old Stone Church

The Ricks Brothers Foundation and Medworks came together for a huge collaborative effort at The Old Stone Church for a Pop-Up Medical Clinic on Saturday, April 16th. There were a variety of services offered as the day was geared towards feeding and helping the homeless population in downtown Cleveland.

The Ricks Brothers Foundation offered a helping hand as they supplied additional healthy snacks, and juice to the attendees of the clinic. Pastor Author Ricks acted as the transportation guy, driving around downtown streets and alleyways looking to take the less fortunate to the church and returning them back to their places afterwards.

Meanwhile, the many volunteers from Medworks tended to the varied medical needs of those who came in for assistance. Medworks does medical checks and provide referrals to outside agencies if needed at their very popular clinics. Medworks does 8-10 clinics in and around NEO each year.

The Homeless Hook-up CLE, The Downtown Alliance, Cleveland Clinic and The Old Stone Church came together in one collaborative effort to make this event happen.

Medworks has 6 additional clinics coming up before years end
